The world of Oleyvale is a land of beauty and magic, divided into unique regions each possessing its own lore, creatures, and arcane practices.

The heart of Oleyvale, Eighsa is celebrated for its architectural marvels and harmonious blend of nature and magic. The capital city, Acliaspolis, towers with crystalline spires and castle walls enchanted to radiate light even in the darkest times.
King Dúngal Nemanjić recently took the throne after the sudden passing of his father and rules with a new, untested authority. Dúngal's power flows from the Celestial Crystal, a legendary artifact that grants the royal family strength.
The elite dragon riders serve as protectors of Eighsa, flying on their fearsome mounts to uphold peace and safeguard the Crystal.

A militant empire that threatens the stability of Oleyvale. Led by a ruthless general and known for its Magitek—a fusion of magic and technology—the empire creates enchanted soldiers and machinery that it wields in relentless campaigns. Niflheim seeks to claim the Celestial Crystal for itself, viewing it as the last piece in its quest for absolute control over the realm.

A mystical land of lush forests and sacred groves, Akarora is the home of the Oracle, a spiritual guide who communes with ancient deities. Akarora’s residents include ethereal creatures like sprites, centaurs, and wood nymphs, who lend their wisdom and powers to the Oracle. The region’s people fear that the balance of magic is shifting and look to the Oracle for signs and omens in these uncertain times. Most dragons had left Krasmery to seek refuge in Akarora.

A coastal nation known for its stunning canal-lined capital, Altissia, and the intricate trade routes connecting it to the rest of Oleyvale. Merchant fleets and ships navigate the waters with the help of sea witches, whose secret knowledge of the tides and weather keeps Usloyridge thriving and dragon riders flew by the side of the ships to ensure their safety during the trip. Altissia’s people, wary of Niflheim’s rising aggression, are already whispering about uneasy alliances and looming threats.

A sprawling rural region of vast plains, deep forests, and dangerous wetlands. Krasmery is known for its diverse wildlife and magical creatures, but there is also darkness—corrupted beasts born from the seepage of dark magic in times past. As Niflheim’s shadow stretches over the land, Krasmery becomes vulnerable to both human foes and monstrous threats. Most dragon riders come from this region.

A culturally diverse region centred around Lestallum, a city renowned for its vibrant marketplace, travelling bards, and open-hearted people. Here, commerce and magic blend harmoniously, and warlocks and witches live openly, using their gifts in exchange for silver or barter. Rumors of King Dúngal’s intentions weigh heavily on the people of Irksall, for they know they would be the first to fall if a crusade were to start.

The Celestial Crystal and King Dúngal’s Rise

The Celestial Crystal is the source of the royal family’s power, yet it holds no magic of its own. Dúngal, like his ancestors, lacks natural mana and depends on the Crystal’s power to lead his people. He rose to the throne under mysterious circumstances after his father’s sudden death, sparking questions among the nobles and commoners alike about his intentions. Dúngal’s ascension has also given rise to whispers—rumours that he intends to eradicate all rival magic-wielders in Oleyvale. While Dúngal has yet to act, those close to him have spoken of his interest in claiming all the crystal shards embedded in the hearts of witches and warlocks across the land. These crystals thought to connect the bearer directly to ancient mana, are feared by some to be as powerful as the Celestial Crystal itself. Nobles in the court speculate that Dúngal is considering this campaign as a means to consolidate his own strength and eliminate any threat to his reign.

The Consequences of a Crusade Against Witches and Warlocks

If Dúngal were to declare a crusade against the magic-wielders of Oleyvale, the effects would be devastating. With each fallen witch and warlock, magic bound to the land would weaken, and the mystical creatures that depend on this power would suffer. Forests would wither, rivers would stagnate, and the balance of nature would shift perilously. The animal life of Oleyvale would become tainted, their forms twisting into monstrous shapes as darkness took hold. A few dragon riders, trusted defenders of the realm, already sense the potential danger and have spoken out against a crusade, fearing that it would lead to a catastrophic imbalance. They worry that the dragon mounts themselves, ancient beings sensitive to magic, may fall prey to corruption if their connection to the Crystal falters. The Oracle, from their sanctuary in Akarora, has prophesied that if Dúngal pursues this path, ancient forces long dormant will awaken to protect the lands from such an assault. Elemental spirits, guardians of nature and magic, would rise in wrathful opposition, stirring storms, earthquakes, and calamities across Oleyvale. Meanwhile, factions of surviving witches and warlocks have begun to form alliances, vowing to protect themselves and the magical balance that holds the world together. These resistance groups grow daily, joined by sympathizers and common folk fearful of what a crusade would bring.

An Ominous Prophecy

Legends tell of a prophecy—that a dragon rider would rise to either restore harmony or plunge Oleyvale into an age of darkness. Should Dúngal unleash his wrath upon the magic-wielders, this dragon rider may find themselves at the heart of the conflict, a beacon of hope or an agent of ruin. As tensions simmer, the fate of the land hangs in the balance, with all eyes on the young king, waiting to see if he will follow through with his deadly ambition—or find a path to peace.

  • Omegas (10%) : Submissive, smaller and considered attractive. They experience monthly heat, intense periods producing strong pheromones, and a natural lubrication called slick. Only during heats can they conceive with an Alpha. Daily medication helps manage these cycles.

  • Recessive Gender Dynamics : Genetic factors can alter an individual's secondary gender; for instance, a Beta might become an Omega after exposure to strong Alpha pheromones, depending on familial lineage.Suppressors : Used to manage the intense effects of heat or rut, they work within minutes but carry side effects. They are administered as a last measure.

  • Pheromones : Essential for communication and interaction. Alphas and Omegas can control their pheromone release to attract or influence others.

  • Marking: During mating in heat, an Alpha may bite an Omega's neck, forming a permanent bond that restricts the Omega to sexual activity exclusively with their Alpha partner, under penalty of severe pain.
